SettingDescription
Use Fence Enabled when there is an active fence, spaces are selected according to the Fence selection mode, when on.
  • Fence Mode
    • Inside: only the spaces completely inside the fence are selected.
    • Overlap: only the spaces inside or overlapping the fence are selected.
    • Void: only the spaces completely outside the fence are selected.
    • Void-Overlap: only the spaces outside or overlapping the fence are selected.
Use Active Level and Symbology When on, selected spaces update with the active user defined symbology set in the Attributes toolbox. When off, updated spaces retain the symbology definitions that existed before the update operation was initiated.
Allow Holes Larger Than When on, the holes defined by closed regions and shapes within the space boundary have no effect in the space area when on. The minimum recognizable size of the hole is specified in the setting field.
Make Space Associative This setting creates an associative space and the definition is automatically modified and updated when associated elements (such as walls) are modified and updated when on.
Allow Flooded Spaces This flood option recognizes the outline of a space boundary when on. When off, space boundaries are ignored and spaces are flooded over. This setting is particularly useful when recognizing areas between space definitions, such as hallways and areas consumed by traffic and egress. It is also useful for recognizing total space used when creating program areas for schematic massing.
